Trainer Bio
Kara SchaefferMy love for dogs started as a small child. I grew up with dogs, and have always loves to spend time with them. In 2009 I got my first dog that wasn't just a family pet. Kimba taught me what it was like to have a real relationship with a dog. He is the reason I fell in love with dogs. He is the reason I do what I do.
My dog "obsession" Kicked off in 2008 when I met Carolyn Georgariou, Dog behaviorist and Trainer. Carolyn allowed me to come with her to client's houses. I learned a lot from Carolyn, especially the importance of good diets and off leash hiking.
I received my certification as a "Master Dog Trainer" in August 2009.
Shortly after I started to foster for Life Long Tails Rescue. I continue my education through books and videos. Now, my life consists of endless dog days and hanging out with my pack.
I do not consider myself a "master trainer" just somebody who loves dogs and tries to learn as much as possible from and about them.
